In the heart of Flagey, our B2M sports medicine centre offers BODYART®, Pilates and GarudA® classes taught by certified coaches.
Discover our series of group physio-fit classes, supervised by our certified physio-fit coaches, who ensure that movements are performed correctly.
Created by James D’Silva, the GarudA® method is a holistic training method inspired by Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi and dance. Combining these four disciplines results in a stronger, more flexible body and greater well-being. GarudA® starts where Pilates ends.
The Apparatus is a machine also developed by James D’Silva that provides a safe environment for performing GarudA® movements. It allows you to discover new ranges of motion in your joints.
BODYART® is a functional training programme that promotes well-being by connecting the body and mind through breathing. The combination of physiotherapy, yoga, Qi and Tai Chi techniques with breathing techniques allows for a complete bodyweight workout based on mobility, stretching and strengthening. Try it, you’ll love it!
We have created the ‘Fisio-Fit’ class for people who want to improve their physical fitness without injuring themselves. Our experience is reflected in this innovative programme based on functional training. You will be supervised by health professionals (physiotherapists, osteopaths, certified coaches) and we will help you progress in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
Hatha Yoga is the traditional approach to the practice of asanas (postures). In this class, the asanas are held for extended durations, emphasizing proper alignment which allows for a deeper understanding and exploration of the body and mind connection. Hatha Yoga serves as an excellent foundation for mastering poses correctly and safely builds the foundation for all other styles of yoga such as Vinyasa Flow Yoga (dynamic yoga).
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, meditative yoga style where postures are held passively for three to five minutes, focusing on deep stretching of the body’s connective tissues such as ligaments, fascia, and joints. The practice encourages relaxation and mindful awareness, aiming to improve flexibility and cultivate a sense of inner calm.
This Vinyasa Flow Yoga (dynamic yoga) class is inspired by the breath-centered yoga practice called Prana Vashya developed by Yogacharya Vinay Kumar in Mysore, India. The term comes from Sanskrit: prana means “breath” or “life force,” and vashya means “to control”. What distinguishes Prana Vashya from other styles of yoga is the blend of asanas (physical poses) with elements of pranayama (yogic breathing exercises), namely breath retentions (kumbhakas), which cultivates endurance, deep concentration, and a calm, focused mind. Prana Vashya builds physical strength, flexibility, and stamina, enhances mental focus and emotional regulation while developing deep, conscious breathing habits.
Through guided instruction this class explores the ancient yogic sciences of pranayama (breath control) and meditation (calming the mind). Through dedicated breathwork practice, you will gradually learn how to calm the mind which serves as the foundation for your journey into the practice of meditation leading to inner stillness.
This class follows a Hatha (static) Yoga based approach to the practice of asana (postures), which focuses on developing balance between strength and flexibility of the core, spine and hips. Simple poses which are accessible to all levels are held for five deep breaths allowing you to explore your body’s potential for both strength and flexibility.
Pilates using the Balance Body Pilates method is a complete workout that strengthens and stretches the entire body, improving health, fitness and state of mind. It is a holistic approach that draws on core stability, strength and flexibility, while emphasising muscle control, posture and breathing. For a healthy, strong body.
